Our Story

Gary & Kathryn Bolton were raised in Northern Ireland. Their relationship with God began in October 1997 when they turned from their sin and declared Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives. That was the best decision they ever made. They got married in June, 2000 and have been blessed with 7 beautiful children, 4 daughters and 3 sons. 

The Boltons have been in ministry for over twenty years. Ten of those years were spent planting and establishing The Journey Church in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. In November 2022, The Boltons completed their work at The Journey and launched into a new Ireland-wide church planting ministry called ‘Ireland for Jesus’. The Journey Church continues to impact lives for Jesus, in Lisburn, Ireland, and the Nations.

Ireland for Jesus exists to advance church planting across the island of Ireland, especially in the Republic of Ireland where the needs are greatest. The Boltons are fulfilling their calling in partnership with churches and leaders across Ireland.

Ireland for Jesus is also partnering with churches and individuals in the United States. In April 2020, the Lord called the Boltons to build a stronger Kingdom bridge between the US and Ireland. Many of these people brought the gospel to America.  Between 1851 and 1920 around 3.5 million Irish immigrated to the US. In these days, the Lord is inviting American churches and individuals to partner with God’s mission in Ireland.
