Church planting

Ireland is one of the most beloved countries in the world, renowned for its beauty, history, and friendly people. Ireland’s rich Christian heritage stretches back to the 5th century. During this period, St. Patrick and his ministry partners led thousands of Irish people to Jesus, and planted hundreds of churches across the Emerald Isle.

Patrick entered an Ireland full of paganism and idol worship. However, within a few short decades after Patrick arrived, a healthy, Christ-exalting church was thriving. The strength of the Irish church in the centuries to come, resulted in many missionaries obeying the call of God to evangelize much of continental Europe.

Throughout the centuries, Ireland was considered one of the highest-church-attending nations in the world. Sadly, in more recent times, the Emerald Isle has suffered from significant spiritual decline. The Republic of Ireland is now largely unchurched and is in desperate need of a return to its rich Christian heritage.

Many leaders across the island of Ireland are responding to God’s call to reach the lost, make disciples, and plant churches. God is stirring fresh vision in the hearts of his people to see Ireland won again for Jesus.

Ireland for Jesus exists to advance church planting across the Emerald Isle. We are believing to see every region of Ireland come alive through gospel transformation, to see new churches spring up across the whole island.
